    How do you do sit-ups?

My abs are not that strong, and i know it can be stronger. I used to do sit-ups, but the only thing it did was hurt my back. People told me that I was doin em wrong, but never told me how to do it.

you can do sit ups on a mat or using an inclined bench if you want greater resistance, or do sit ups holding a weight. why don't you try doing crunches so you don't have to move your back as much. and do leg lifts to work the lower abs

Then how do you do crunches correctly then?

umm.. it's hard to explain in words. why don't you try doing a google search and find a diagramatic representation of sit ups.. it's easier to actually see it. maybe you can find a video of it too.

i will warn u from experience... if you're just starting to incorporate abs into your workouts, ease into it slowly and be sure to not go all out right at first, i tore an abdominal muscle that way.
(this is in the wrong forum, btw)
