This is a great "chess" move by Team Mayweather.

A few of you would know already that Al Haymon advises both Mayweather and P. Williams.

A fight with P. Williams is just as risky as one with Mayweather to Pacquaio.

The fans would much prefer Pacquaio to fight with P. Williams rather than Cotto / Magarito if the negotiations with Mayweather Jr fall through.

This corners Team Pacquaio, as they would either have to fight P. Williams or most likely duck him to rematch Cotto or fight Magarito which wouldn't look good in the fans eyes.

A fight with P. Williams makes just as much money if not more than Cotto, however, is just as risky a fight with Mayweather Jr.

I'm sensing Arum sent over to Mayweather Jr a bogus / unfair offer. (this refers back to that recent thread of Bob Arum's "Done Deal")

Now, I wanna see Arum's move.

He's most likely going to amend the contract offer he sent - I have a feeling Mayweather Jr vs Pacquiao is definitely gonna happen now.

The only reason that Cotto-Pac sold 1.2 million was because of the great Puerto Rican fans. That was proven by Pac selling 700K in his next fight, and Cotto setting HBO viewership records coming off a KO.

The problem for Pacquiao is that Cotto's fanbase won't be as enthused for a rematch. Thay know his style is not suited for Manny...especially when Miguel is a clean athlete, and Manny is oibviously dirty.

This **** didn't make any sense when you posted it in the other thread. Do you honestly believe Williams moving down to 147 has any effect on who Manny decides to fight. Explain to me how Pacquiao is backed into a corner when he has options and has already stated which direction he is headed is a Mayweather fight falls through.
