This fight will never happen. I would much rather see P-Will fight Floyd Jr. I think Floyd Jr. would counter P-Will to death since P-Will throws wildly alot and misses. But I think it would be competitive for a while, but if Quintana can counter him, Floyd Jr. would make him look silly....

PWill is not a draw... I don't want to even see you say Manny is ducking because he is too tall. The real reason is because Williams has about 5 people that know about him and he has no fight to really give him at least notice among casual fans. The best you can say is... he had a close fight with Sergio Martinez who isn't much of a name yet either, but at least he can say he beat Pavlik. Williams has no name recognition on his name other than maybe Margarito who ain't **** in the first place. The fact is the fight won't happen because Williams is WAY TOO TALL and not nearly worth the risk.

If Williams was as big a name as Mayweather, Cotto or Mosley then I would agree he should fight him should he make the weight. All Manny is doing is the same as Mayweather, the fight has to make sense and it simply doesn't for Manny. Beat up a guy moving to a division he hasn't fought in 3 or 4 fights in which his last one he was losing till his opponent dove out of the ring. Seriously, Williams is a nobody and he isn't even that good or he wouldn't struggle with Quintana's or Cintron's.

I don't want to see Cotto/Pacquiao 2, at least not yet but the fight makes some sense. As much as the weight WASN'T an issue they could use that as a marketing ploy. Cotto was weight drained but now they are fighting at Jr. MW, granted it would be a catch weight but that would conveniently would be left out. Cotto is looking for revenge without draining him and Manny is going for a record 8th division title. What's the best way to market Williams? 6 foot 3 MW, has challenged a man 7 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter for a fight, but only draws 300 fans. If you try to argue as a Floyd fan you are simply a total idiot, because its what Floyd is all about.

P Williams can fight in whatever division he wants. Nobody can say he has to fight in the higher divisions only. If Williams can make the 147 weight then he qualifies.

Williams knows that the Martinez fight can happen later (6 months later?) so he wants to take this opportunity to go for Manny or Floyd. Nothing wrong there.


As for the fight actually happening. I doubt it would.

I can see Williams vs Floyd happening (higher probability) than Williams vs Manny...... but I wouldn't mind seeing either one.

If Team Pac thinks they can beat Williams then this fight can happen. It would be great for his legacy .... but there is still the fact that he can get another title with Cotto and that may stand out more in the long run.

Oh and one final thing, they couldn't even make Williams/Pavlik because Williams somehow thought that he deserved 50% of the share. What he is going to demand for Manny 40%? Be real, no one can do business with Arum other than Arum himself its never going to happen.
