whoops, ... I was wondering why the dude he fought didn't look like the same guy Chavez fought last year. I stand very corrected... though I'm still not sold on the kid, at least to the degree in which he's being hyped

Maybe they will start to push Canelo a little harder now.

I like that they're taking their time with him though.
The big difference is that Chavez Jr was and still is viewed as a sideshow since day one, whereas Alvarez is being sold as the second coming

I think Ricardo Lopez's son named Alfonzo is a better prospect than Alvarez is.

You should watch Finito's son fight. I know you are an insider to all these upcoming fighters. What you think of Alfonzo Finito Lopez? I think he could be a future world champ like Vasquez Jr.

the difference is Alvarez is still 19 years old, and I see improvements in him every fight. no really, think about it: 19 years old! he has so much time still to progress, and yet already is looking better than most mid 20 year old prospects.

I certainly have more hope in a prospect like Alvarez than a 'prospect' like Guillermo Rigondeux, who is already 28 or something years old. hell, Alvarez has looked better against tougher competition than Rigondeux vs some bums already.

I've seen Finitito before, I think a couple of times on either FSE or Telefutura. Kid looks good, especially for a newcomer. Long way to go before it can be determined where his career goes but yeah, for now he's certainly more WV2 than JCC Jr.
