good fight, Marquez stood there longer than what I expected but he showed heart. Nonito, probably his last fight at this weight since he barely can make weight now on that division....

Donaire wouldn't land uppercuts like that against Montiel or any other top fighter because they don't lead with their chins like that guy did. Not impressed at all. Donaire got hit with the majority of punches Marquez threw and the weight difference was a factor of why Nonito never got stunned. Top Rank needs to quit protecting this dude. And to add insult to the injury, he's ranked #4 P4P and Montiel and Mares have done more. I had Mares beat Perez who's a way better fighter than Darch.

Good showing by Nonito. I was surprised he let Marquez off the hook when he first dropped him. Glad he ended it instead of letting it go the limit. I got doubts about him sticking around at JBW though. About time he made the jump. He won't have the same power or punch resistance but he should compensate with better speed.

he did look good, but also he looked huge next to marquez, just too big i didn't realize marquez also went up in weight for this fight,i think marquez should go back down to his weight class and donaire should skip 118 and go straight to 122,i think he's too big for 118 too, vazquez jr vs donaire, that would be a good fight,

thats what i realized too what you say here about not getting stunned because of how big donaire was,not only because he's big,it didn't help that marquez went up in weight too

They didn't even appear the same weight class.

And now, the Filipino Donaire is working with Victor Conte and talking about moving up multiple weight classes. Hmmmmm.

as Much as I like donaire, he really needs to step up that weight and competition .not Vic rematch, been there done that, Hes like what 27, 28 already and in his prime, he needs to step it up , that Vic fights was like 3 yrs ago but seems like 6,7 years ago already.
