Marquez and Gamboa hits Puerto Rico For Juanma Fight

The first title defense of Juanma Lopez in the 126-pound division attracted a particular fan to Puerto Rico to watch the fight in person.

Rafael Marquez was schedule tor land in the island last night to look closely at the Lopez - Concepcion fight at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico which will be televised on Showtime.

If Juanma wins big, he could face Marquez on Sept. 18, Mexico's Independence Day.

"I'm glad, I'm glad he come. To see that if later we can sit and discuss the fight, "Juanma said last night on the visit of Marquez.

"It motivates me a lot that he come, because that tells me that the fight is close. Now we just have to get to the numbers (the pursue). "

Last May, Juanma traveled to Los Angeles to appear in the fourth fight between Marquez and Israel Vazquez. "One thing is that I went there (to see him fight with Israel Vazquez)," said Juanma. "Another is that he comes to Puerto Rico. The time has come. "

    Gamboa

Marquez is coming to the island with his promoter, Fernando Beltran.

Marquez is not the only possible opponent for Juanma that will be present tomorrow at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

The Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa, WBA featherweight champion , will arrive this evening at the Island, with his entourage, a few days to rest once and see Juanma fight, his counterpart at the WBO.

A lot of people think Concepcion will give Lopez a fight, but I think Lopez will win pretty handily. If not, then..........? And even though a lot of people think Rafa is shot, he'll be a tougher challenge for Lopez than Concepcion will. If Lopez struggles with Concepcion even if he wins, that will make people a lot more confident in Rafa's chances of beating Lopez.

i think concepcion is better then some think and will give juanma a good fight early on because of his speed and pop but eventually his poor workrate and stamina will catch up to him and juanma will stop him.

Bernabe dont like body punches nor can he handle high workrate.

juanma needs to put in that early body work because sometimes he doesnt do that often enough like in the mtagwa and lontchi fights. i see juanma by stoppage but i think concepcion has a little explosiveness that may cause some early problems for juanma

i agree juanma shoud give rafa a 70-30 split to send the little legend into a comfortable retirement home after juanma destroys him that would be the right thing to do.

The most Rafa should allow Juanita is 65-35. Anything past that is too much for the little mocoso.
