      No, they used to weigh in the morning or early afternoon of the fight, so they still had 8 or more hours to attempt to get hydrated again. If they had to weigh in exactly one hour beforehand I don't think any boxer (or his trainer) would be that ****** as to think they could manage to dry out and then rehydrate in an hour or two.

        I don't think there's a sure fire to prevent this from happening. Fighters just have to be responsible and take care of themselves.
