****** Thread...U cant even compare the two. One was a heavy weight & one was light weight all the way to lMW. One was a knockout artist the other was a student of the game. One was flat out crazy the other was just crazy. The only thing they had in common was filling up seats. They both knew how to draw crowds. I'd say tyson was a bigger drawer by himself. But Floyd does hold the record for most buys: Mayweather vs Oscar smashed Tyson vs Evander II buys....But like i said u cant compare the 2 cuz different weight classes.

Totally differnt styles, Tyson looked to KO the guy while Floyd looks to win rounds.

Floyd has WAY better Skills because his style is to win fights on points. If Tyson even goes 12 rounds, he would consider it a failure, win or lose

Plus one was a HW and the other a WW

But Tyson was one of a kind

Rather tough comparison. Tyson in his prime was like nothing else, one of a kind. I'm one of the few that believe that a prime Mike (of late 1987 or early 1988) would beat any opponent he faced, and I say that with all sincerity. I couldn't say that about a prime Mayweather though, but he's close. Career/prime potential wise, I give it to Mike. For all-around skills, I give it to Mayweather.

Prime potential and ability: Iron Mike
          Prime skill: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

          Thanks for the thought.

Tyson finished guys with more authority and devastation, but Floyd defeated superior fighters, and came back from adversity like Tyson never could.

              No Doubt,

              Its Mike Tyson!

He was fast and furious, knocking his taller and heavier opponents!
