I always rated Mugabe,he was a potential great. I don't like seeing fighters being protected and like to see the best fight the best but I was really angry when Mickey Duff went for the $$$$ and took the hagler fight.At that point Mugabe was light middle weight and would have given Hearns ,Duran and Leanard a warm time. Hagler was that much bigger and a throw back one off freak that not only beat boxers but very often ruined them so they were never the same again. Going up a weight to fight Hagler made no sense when there were heaps of great light middle fights out there for Mugabe.
