Floyd fought the best.
When Floyd beat Baldomir, Baldomir had beaten Judah, who had beaten Spinks, who beat Mayorga who knocked out Vernon Forrest, who gave the beating of a lifetime to Shane Mosley.
So how is Mayweather fighting nobody?
If Floyd fights only washed up fighters, then what the hell does that say about Pacquaio, who made his name fighting guys that Floyd had beaten in his last few fights?!?!?
When Floyd beat DLH, he did it at 154, where DLH was stronger and didn’t have to dehydrate to make weight. When Pacquiao fought DLH, he made DLH sweat down to 145lbs!
When Floyd beat Ricky Hatton, Hatton was undefeated! When Pacquiao, Hatton had just been knocked out by Mayweather!
When Floyd beat Juan Manuel Marquez, JMM had already given Pacquiao more than he could handle. Pacquiao had run from a third match, but Floyd easily dispatched JMM to the point where JMM said himself that Pacquiao would be in trouble,
When Floyd fought Shane Mosley, Mosley had just knocked out the highly touted Margarito in a way never seen before. It was electric! Floyd made Shane look like a rank amateur for 11 out of 12 rounds.
When Manny fought Clottey, he could do absolutely NOTHING!!!!
Manny couldn’t even land a meaningful blow in that fight, but Clottey, when he actually did throw a punch, landed enough so that Pacquiao looked like he had been beaten up. His face was swollen and red. Clottey doesn’t have the best defense in the game, but he was able to completely shut down Pacquiao’s offense.
So when you get down to it Floyd has been Pacquiao’s hero because Pacquiao tries to do what Floyd does. He acts as if Floyd is his blueprint.
BUT!!!!!!! …..
Fighting boxers when they have just been defeated in their last big bout isn’t legacy worthy. That’s what Pacquiao does. He won’t fight a guy until he’s been beaten and that’s a fact.
When Pacquiao fought them:
DLH – just lost to Mayweather
Hatton – just knocked out by Mayweather
Cotto – Just knocked out by Margarito
Clottey – Just got out-hustled by Cotto who fought dirty
Every fight at welterweight that Pacquiao has had has come against a boxer who is trying to come back for a loss. And if that wasn’t bad enough Pacquiao makes all of them sweat down to fight at catchweights!
Now, Pacquiao is looking to fight Mosley because Floyd just beat him!
He’s also mentioned Margarito because Mosley knocked him out!
Talk about a guy only fighting damaged boxers!
Pacquiao is a study in promotional greatness. To have followed in another boxer’s footsteps but receive credit for doing what the other has already done before you but when the opponents were either undefeated or coming off of a huge win is shameful.
Where is the honor in pretending to be a pioneer? All Team Pacquiao is doing is pretending that when he beat DLH and Hatton they were somehow more credible than when Mayweather fought them.
Pacquiao isn’t the first to beat any of the men who he is hailed as special for beating:

Hmm .. so if Pacquiao isn’t the first to beat them, and pretty much fought the majority of that list coming off big losses, why is he being touted as great? Why is he being advertised as special when all he does try to match what real welterweight have done at catchweights?
Pacquiao fans need to get a grip. They are high on some new stuff because no matter what facts are present, they can only see Manny waving the Filipino flag.
