I'm not picking Ward...yet. Dirrell has that one-hitter quitter and I don't think Ward can take it. Other than that, however, I see very little in Dirrell's favor. Dirrell has an edge in speed but Ward holds one in timing. But boxing is mental and I just don't feel comfortable with Dirrell in that aspect.
Andre Dirrell WILL take the Super Six.

Ward's fights were unimpressive aswell, with Ward holding most of the Green fight and using his head against Kessler numerous times, he hasn't proven what 'skill' he has. He won't be able to rush Dirrell like he did Kessler and Green, Dirrell will pop him with that jab, use lateral movement and confuse one-dimensional Ward and completely outclass and outbox him.Comment

I saw the same things I saw in his previous bouts. He is full of nervous energy, leading him to slow down late in the bout and fatigue makes cowards of us all, or so the saying goes. Dirrell is not as confident in himself as he makes himself out to be. At least that's what people in his camp say. And it's mind boggling because his talent is simply out of this world. Ward, on the other hand, is one of the most mentally strong and focused fighter in the world.Comment

Dirrell takes it.Comment

He outclassed Froch, and was clearly robbed, but moved on and embarrassed Abraham so bad he caused him to step out of character and intentionally foul him. Dirrell was toying with Abraham the whole time, and if he can do that to who some call the best fighter in the tournament, he can and will do it to Kessler, who has looked very unimpressive in his two fights, and he will do it to Ward.

if dirrell has the speed and can get off first, he can beat ward. dirrell also needs a judge that won't let ward hold-n-hit.Comment

Dirrell looked good against Abraham, but seemed to be slowing down in the later rounds. If not for the DQ, I'm not sure how the fight would have ended. I wasn't impressed with Dirrell's overselling of that punch though. Maybe it really did knock him out, but it looked like he was acting. That said, I still enjoyed the fight.
I actually got to attend the Ward-Kessler fight, and Ward dominated the hell out of it. But that's definitely because Kessler had no clue how to deal with Ward's fighting on the inside. Green couldn't do jack about it either, but that's probably because he didn't show up to fight in the first place. I'm looking forward to seeing how Dirrell deals with Ward.
If I had to pick one, I'd go with Ward. Holding and hitting isn't the only thing he's capable of, and seeing as Dirrell got screwed once, I think they'll give a close decision to Ward if it does end up going the distance.Comment

Dirrell-Froch? I know Dirrell won that fight but c'mon dude had a real tough time. Ward is multi-dimensional and we've seen that. There's no way for Ward not to win decision in this one, doesn't matter where it is....Vegas, Detroit Andre Ward by decision. You see how he did against Miranda? Kessler? Green? Nobody has won more then two rounds in those three fights.....Two......Can Dirrell say that? I love Dirrell I hope he could go to the next round but he's losing this one. Maybe a fight with Jean Pascal after his loss to Ward.Comment
