He really had to work for everything, Hagler really didn't get any special opportunities. I think that's part of the reason he was so damn great.

Just awesome. Could fight going forwards or backwards. Leftie or conventional stance. He could be slick and tricky or caveman w/a monster set of stones if that's what was required and in fact seemed to relish it. One of my favorites.

Very nice tribute and Hendrix' "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" perfect backing tune ; "Well I stand up next to a mountain. Chop it down with the edge of my hand." That's Marvelous, all right.
