Strange but Mayweather may want Cotto now since he's been beat but a few years ago after a fight he didn't want the undefeated Cotto during a Merchant interview.
On another note. I cant believe anyone would question Cottos 'dedication' to doing whatever is necessary to win a fight. Cotto isn't the best, he isn't one of the absolute elite... but his heart and dedication are 100%. His losses are due to limitations in his ability... not dedication. If Cotto cant pump the jab out all night it would be because he is limited from doing so.
how so? I think the post your arguing against is spot on, cotto is easily tooken off his game plan as soon as he gets hit with something he doesnt like, in many fights he has abandoned the jab and brawled due to his frustration.
Although if it doesn't happen by 2011..I think Cotto could have an edge..he's like 4 years younger than Floyd..and his legs and speed won't be the same..especially after a Pac fight..
I think if it happens early next year Floyd UD's him..late next year or later Cotto hands it to him..
