Because steroids don't kick in that fast. There are maybe 3 steroids (at least that I know of) that take full effect in that short of a time period.

You may experience some effects depending what you take and how high you dose, but nothing very noticeable if anything at all.

EPO injections take up to a month or more to kick in.
