Big fan of this guy but its sickening whats happened to him he hasnt fought in around a year and i wouldnt even call that a fight as it was against a guy with more losses then wins so in a way he hasnt really fought since Berto a year and a half ago the only fight i think since his last fight he has been solidly offered was Aydin in Turkey and rightly he turned it down although he stated it was to move to LMW i really think he feared a robbery in Turkey. This guy gave a pre Floyd Hatton hell you argue he won close fight either way gave Berto hell you could argue he won again but it was also a close fight and he survived a full 12 rounds against Mosley whos power we all know about this after badly hurting his hand in the second round i just find it crazy that he has not been able to secure any opponent of any stature since the Berto fight anyway i just think that he is a vastly underrated fighter who really is the minimum reward high risk type of fighter

If Berto weren't ducking him by trying to pull the same **** Gamboa did to Caballero, he would've fought last year.
He seems to be of the mold of Chad Dawson though. He doesn't care how long he has to wait as long as he gets the fights he wants. Thing is... he's not in Dawson's position.
Collazo could have went over to Turkey and stopped Aydin, but winning a decision would have been hard pressed. The fighter that replaced him got jobbed, so it is what it is.Comment

A. The story about his move up to LMW was B.S.
B. He is sitting out his contract with Don King
C. He wasn't going to fight a non televised bout with Aydin in Turkey for $50,000.
D. He would have had to KO Aydin and we all know Collazo is not a Ko artist.
That is what I was told.
He should still fight a keep busy fight or two. I heard he has another year.Last edited by Gonzalez_Boxing; 07-07-2010, 08:14 PM.Comment
