Is being a South Paw overrated?

We know orthodox fighters are suspect to the left hook but southpaws are generally suspect to the overhand right and right hook. I dont see much of an advantage other than orthodox fighters dont fight southpaws as much as southpaws fight orthodox fighters

Nope, Southpaws even have hard times fighting other southpaws. Most southpaws are use to fighting righthanded fighters so they know how most right handed fighters think. Everyone is a sucker for that left hand that why it makes for an ugly fight if your right handed b/c your jab is irrelevant and all you can really hope to do is land that over hand right. This is a major reason why Bradley hasn't been to keen on facing Alexander

Hell NO! Its still the most underrated thing in the sport. Its a huge advantage in nearly every sport and times 10 in boxing. The fact is that Southpaws fight righties there whole lives so its no big deal to them but a righty might have 50 fights and only 1 against a Southpaw so its different

The price to pay is that your liver is more exposed. Just like the orthodox fighters are more open to your left, you're more open to their right.
