Comments Thread For: Omar Narvaez-Hugo Cazares Unification in Talks?

According to overseas rumblings, there has been some talk about WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (32-0-2, 19KOs) making his American debut in the fall. Narvaez's manager has said there are two fights they are currently discussing. The first is a fight with WBC Latino champion Oscar Ibarra (22-4m 14KOs) in the month of September in the United States. The other is a more lucrative offer, for a unification with WBA champion Hugo Cazares (32-6-2, 23KOs) of Mexico.

Hopefully it actually comes off. Calderon said he was willing to fight against Narvaez before he moved up to 115 and it never came off.

Cazares never looked good above 108 until his last 2 fights, he might be too strong for Narvaez. Then again, I thought Rayonta Whitfield could have pulled off the upset.
