    Yes it's his trademark.

He's always been the type of guy to smoke weed during camp, and tended to take top fights on a weeks notice.

He's been robbed quite a few times in those losses, and others are from taking fights in other fighter's home town on very short notice with no training.

It's obvious he could have been a much better contender had he been with the right people from the begining, took the game more seriously, and had a good trainer and promoter.

But it seems now that he's at the height of his popularity, and it's increasing with each fight because people love to see him fight. He says he's an entertainer 1st and a fighter 2nd.

The question for me, is now that he's gaining some popularity, he will surely get the attention of more promoters. If he gets the right backing, is it too late for him to make some noise as a serious contender?

Augustus has also carried guys when he really could've put them away. There was one specifically where Max Kellerman even said on air that he thought someone told Augustus (he was Burton then) to carry the guy. Max got in trouble for it and was supposed to apologize the next week. Well, he didn't really apologize. He said something like "I'm sorry, but I think he carried the guy." It was pretty funny.

Bozo is right. Augustus clearly has more talent than that record shows. That "loss" to Ward, you can chalk up as so close that it wasn't even like a loss. Really I guess that fight should've been a draw it was so close, even though I gave it to Augustus by a round.

I'm thoroughly convinced that Augustus carried that idiot Leonard Dorin. Even the clips available on this site's gallery, you can tell Augustus isn't throwing at full force and his accuracy is way off. Augustus isn't super powerful, but he's definitely accurate. I just don't believe he really lost to Dorin. I've seen Dorin fight and Augustus is definitely more talented, meaning he's got better technique.
