This isn't about Pac or Floyd.

This is about being able to pay for testing for every single World Title Fight, which is the guise that people accusing Manny and Ward hide under.

They say, "Oh we want it for every fight." Not realizing that many of them lack the profitability to cover the expense of useless drug testing.

If fans want to drug test for fights like Joseph Agbeko vs Yohnny Perez they are gonna have to pay for it. Unless of course they realistically expect Perez and Agbeko to spend their palty purse on unnecessary drug tests.
you are not getting my point...

WHO THE **** ARE YOU? why would i give a damn penny to you, internet warrior? boxing is already full of money, so i don't need someone to setup a paypal account and have that as a cash bucket for the boxer's "drug testing".

i'd rather fool myself in a pyramid/multi-level market scam than this...

please don't treat all of the people here in NSB as ****** as you. bake some cookies instead so that you can have money.

This sentence doesn't even make grammatical sense.

"Don't treat people as ****** as you." WTF does that mean?

Obviously you are a complete ******. Go give your pennies to the wishing well and ask for a brain.

Learn to use capital letters when you start a sentence, it's gonna be a big deal if you ever want to graduate high school.

Just think, instead of paying $60 for a PPV that does nothing to clean up the sport, why not just send that $60 to the WADA Paypal account to display your true level of concern!!!

Since so many people here care so deeply about the issue ( and since most are also rich, drive BMW's and have huge ****s) I am sure that there will plenty of huge donations and it will only be a matter of time before the ultra paranoid fans of the NSB forum can financially back these expensive drug tests and clean up the sport (just like cycling).
Why should we pay for millionaires?
That's like saying. "If you believe in seat belts so much, then make a pay pal account and send it to all the car makers" Dumb.

Because something is right dont mean the little guy should pay for the big guy.

i prefer to set one up for Gerald McClellan, but it got no traction......sadly. We don't need a paypal account with fans paying for it. What do the sanctioning bodies actually do for the 3% they get? Make new belts? Come up with rankings no one can understand?

They already have the money to do that. This post is incredibly ill thought out.

My point is how much money do you think there was left over for anyone to do these kind of tests in the case of Agbeko-Perez?

To maintain the integrity of this type of testing it must be across the board. The only pretentious people are the ones who claim they want "every world title contender tested" but really only want to see the insane testing put into place so they can see 2 or 3 guys they really don't like get tested.

In a fight like Agbeko-Perex neither fighter brought home a very respectable purse. The promoter probably lost money, the casino probably lost money, the managers and trainers worked for the bare minimum could be expected. The sanctioning body fee of 3% probably wouldn't pay for 4 weeks of completely random worldwide testing for 2 different fighters when the entire purse was only 150K or less.

In the case of a fight like Mayweather-Pacquiao it may be practical from a cost standpoint considering the money to be generated, but if Floyd truly cared about the cause maybe he would come out of pocket for a couple million to see the testing carried out on other fighters for an extended trial period.

The point here is that there are a lot of guys in boxing who fight for World Titles but they are still "little guys" when it comes to what they earn. Not everyone with a WBC title belt has a million dollars in the bank and alot of these guys who are fringe contenders who barely deserve a shot can hardly afford to pay out 3-5% of their purse for some ******* to give them drug tests above and beyond what is necessary.

If boxing fans cared about the little guy, or the health of the sport, they wouldn't be encouraging the wasting of time, money and resources on a witch hunt targeted at fighters they personally dislike and trying to play it off as concern for the sport.

Actually that's what tygart was suggesting. To let the fans pay for the testing thru PPV. But I was wondering what would happen to the 95% of fights that don't do PPV's.

                      Who does?

Which person who has no obligation to do so are you going to "demand" pays for it out of their pocket and takes a huge hit to their business? Which idiot in boxing would step up and volunteer to take on such an expense?

Why do you think there are only 1/3 as many boxing matches on HBO as there were a year ago?

There isn't a giant pile of money to go around in boxing. A select few make it rich, the rest struggle to make it work.
