What would you rather see for Cotto: Pac, May or Margo?

Stubborn, yes. Arrogant? How is it arrogant to avoid civil charges? He could have been manipulated in private by Arum into avoiding those charges and a furtherance of the scandal.
In about 20 years, I expect another Restofession.Comment

Because it would seem like a ***** move, like he can't accept he lost. Someone as arrogant as himself would prefer to beat the hell out of the guy.
I know it doesn't make much sense but that's how I think he thinks.Comment

And yes, he could have been manipulated. Sure.
My point is he had the tools to solve this. No need to discuss in a thread, no need for rematch even. Dig for the truth in an investigation on a civil case and be done with it.Comment

Yes, brother..
I see it too and don't be surprised, if we find out, Cotto Sr, caught a fatal, heart attack, after listening to the news by the Mayweather's, that PacMan, is taking, an illegal substance..Comment

hahahhaMargarita, deserve's, nothing more, than a ***en BULLET in the head.
Do you know, what would've, happened, if Cotto or Mosley were white or ***ish?
The only reason, why this ***ing, punk ass, isn't locked up or dead is because the powers to be (Bob Arum) don't value Puerto Rican or Black's lives.
PRPP

Cotto-Margarito II. A lot of things have been said that maybe Margarito cheated and what not; even though there is no proof. People will always say that the first fight is subject to being clouded with su****ion. A second fight would answer a lot of those questions an give both fighters a chance to redeem themselves. This is a fight that I think is important to both fighters. It's fight that I believe has to happen (IMO)...Comment

Yeah, I wish he would have done it too. Most people, under interrogation (legal), give themselves up. But there is at least one other side to all this.
The difference between a case like what you suggest, criminal cases and leaving it in the 'court of public opinion' are burdens of proof. In a civil case, the burden of proof is initially on the plaintiff. The burden can be shifted, but Cotto could have entered into a sisyphean struggle depending on the threshold of probability required of the jury to believe that the defendant was responsible for injury to the plaintiff. It is generally easier than a criminal case, but it is still quite tricky and then, only money is awarded if the plaintiff wins. And, depending on how controversially the whole thing was handled, Cotto still might have lost more than would have been gained by such a trial.
So while I somewhat agree, in the end it might have done even more damage to his reputation and galvanized more support for margachito. I am not really sure what could have been done, but I still think margachito cheated in their fight.Last edited by Nuurzhaelan; 07-06-2010, 02:18 PM.Comment
