I think its fair, when manny fans point out the 7 div titles that they point out the last was 145. Obviously, as a floyd fan most posters will jsut say i feel that way because I hate manny. I respect the win but not very much because it wasn't at the max weight.

Fair point! But wasn't manny favored by the betting line? I'm not speaking for all floyd fans only me. I thought the catchweight was bogus then and I still think it now for the reasons stated. How is pointing out the 145 max discrediting him? Isn't that a fair criticism?

Perhaps. But ultimately expectations from FMJ are usually higher, given that he boxes with good technique. This is the reason why critics deride his resume-- they expect better from him.

Pacquiao on the other hand, continues to defy expectations, because his non-textbook style, and rhythm makes him look beatable in the eyes of purists, not to mention that his resume has wins over fighters that could have in theory, beaten him easily.

This is reflected in BScene betting.

that fight is not that dominate the 1st 5 rounds were rounds that could of went either way and if not for the kd cotto i thought was doin better than pacquiao then when manny hurt him he ran for 7 rounds but manny was not beatin on cotto the way margarito did in the later rounds of their fight and manny was the favorite in that match and alot of people were sayin that cotto was not the same since the margarito fight but after he losses to pacquiao alot of you seem to forget that you all were claimin miguel was washed up

see that's the point...you were quick to point out facts but that poster you quoted was also talking about facts. it is a known fact that haters have tried so many times to discredit pac's success so what's your point of disproving his post? why are you so defensive about the facts he raised?

it's not just about what you pointed out...it's how you pointed them out. there were things disadvantageous to pac in that catchweight fight but you failed to mentioned them...says it all really.
