poll: did vargas give dlh hell before the stoppage???

Don't remember the fight too well. Haven't seen it since it actually happened. I remember Vargas giving DLH problems in the corner and I thought Vargas would end up stopping him. Then I remember DLH moving the fight to the center of the ring and giving Vargas a boxing lesson. I also remember DLH saying that Vargas was the strongest guy he ever fought.

Vargas + Stanozolol and DLH still gets to stop him = Absolute ownage for DLH.

vargas put up a valiant effort and gave dlh resistance, but he didn't make dlh go "life and death" nor did he push dlh to his limit. no one says that dlh left a piece of himself in the ring with vargas like they say the raf marq / izzy vasquez trilogy.

I would say Vargas gave DLH hell, for about 2 maybe 3 rounds, not enough to ruin him. As far as hell goes, DLH has seen worse.

He won a few rounds, but it was more like oscar gave up a couple of rounds. He landed a few good shots but a lot were not connecting.

Ike gave him a tougher fight IMO

I think Vargas for the 1st half of the fight was putting the pressure on Oscar, but he weathered the storm and starting catching Vargas with those left hooks. Oscar dug deep for that win. IMO one of his top 3 best wins of his career. I remember the build up was crazy. I wanted Oscar to whip Vargas' ass so bad lol.

Really great fight though.
