The reality is that if LBJ, Wade, Bosh, Amare ect, really wanted to win they would go to a team that was not in the gutter. Cavs can offer him more money than anyone, though NY can assists more with marketing. Amare will get destroyed in the playoffs, and LBJ will once again become frustrated. Amare got overpaid, and while i love galo, that is nothing close to competing with the Lakers, Celtics, Magic at this time or anytime soon.

NY just gave Amare $20mil per year
Knicks have enough money to give Amare $20m and do it again with James. He's coming, baby!!! (pause)

The Lakers, Celtics and Magic can't afford and don't need a LBJ or Amare. Out of the teams who can, the Knicks make the most sense. Put Amare and LBJ on the same squad and they are instant playoff contenders. Don't forget that LBJ pushed Cavs management hard to get Amare during the trading deadline last season. I'm telling you, he's either staying home or coming to NY. And if he was staying home then he wouldn't be going through all of this. We knew this a couple years ago. He's MSG bound.

the Knicks payroll was already at $75mil before Amare got signed...its gonna be tough...a couple of seasons ago when salary caps were going up, a two-man FA coup might have been possible...but since the cap started getting set lower, Dolan's workin with some limited coin after giving Amare a good chunk of his play money

here's a link to NBA Team salaries

Honestly he goes to NYC he can kiss any chance at winning a championship goodbye. Maybe I'm the only one who sees this but championships are won in the front office, and the Knicks have the worst in the business. I mean the bone head decisions they have made over the years shows that they will be forever garbage regardless of if they can get a big name like Lebron.
