I don't think it would have been so different, it just would have taken a longer route for Pacquiao to reach where he is. JMM would still be stretching his limits at 135, and not be able to compete at 147.

Pacquiao would still be working, still have all his skills and talent, and though he would have had to work much harder to get there he would still be the Pacquiao he is today.

It would have changed a lot at that time, but not in the long term, IMO.

JMM would have surpassed both MAB and EM and would have been the best Mexican fighter which I still think he is anyways, Pac would have taken a little longer on being as big as he is. Both fight with passion.

Yeah, you can argue Marquez won the 2nd one but not the first. Pacquiao won the first by a mile.
