What makes you think that? Boxing does great on PPV and in ratings the way it is. Mayweather and Pacquiao do over 1 million buys almost every fight with crap undercards. Cotto vs Foreman got a 3.9 rating (highest ratings of the years) with over 1.9 million homes watching with a crap undercard.

The days of undercards fights featuring hall of famers like Gomez are over. Networks put so much money for the main event this days that there is just not enough to split it and put better undercards. Fans need to finally understand the situation.

Fans do not need to realizing anything and I know boxing is really doing great numbers recently. But that is just a sign of how loyal boxing fans are and what numbers they can do if they start stacking undercards.

I think if they want to justify charging higher fees for PPV boxing events, they should stack the undercards with top quality fighters and fights.
              That's rarely been the case.

Yeah, talk about a ****load of evidence.

                Hard to dispute this claim.

I mean HBO won't show the Heavyweight Champion, does anyone believe they're gonna pony up enough cash to have 4 or 5 big names on every card?

The days of Don King's undercards are long gone.

To be fair, I thought the Mayweather/Moseley undercard was good and Arum at least *tried* on Pac/Clottley giving us Castillo/Gomez. A shame Castillo turned up shot.
