How to beat winky right?

i thought aboot this over and over again but i can't think of a stratgey to beat him. So what can you guys come up with.

You have to take it to him. Fighters lay back and box with him, rather then taking it to him like Vargas did in the last few rounds of their fight a few years ago.

I agree! Getting around that impressive guard he has it a tough job alone. I've never seen a boxer with such long forarms, or with a better guard! He may not be the hardest hitter, but he's so defensively sound it definately makes up for it.

Trinidad didn't fight his fight against Winky. If he had been throwing bombs, he might have had a chance. I'm convinced that even though Trinidad has amazing power and he will always be better than De La Hoya, he is still VERY ******.

I think fighters are too concerned with trying to hurt Winky...I think a fighter like Roy Jones Jr would just pot shot his gloves and body to a decision...rather than waste the energy or leave himself open by trying to break through Winky's gloves

Mosely had the right fight against Winky the 2nd time around. He just didn't have the stamina to keep it up. The key is to throw combos & mix your power up even if you hit the forearms & elbows. If someone is able to sustain that kind of attack they could wear Winky down & make him fight different than what he's accustomed to.

I think it takes a special kind of fighter to beat winky soundly.
You need to bob and weeve and use perfect timing over his incredible jab. You also need some power on those counters and combine them with combinations.When Vargas put together power combinations he actually got threw the guard and landed some clean punches, something tito couldnt do.Timing is crucial,as soon as winky throws the jab at your head you slip it and throw power combinations making him go back and reset.

any good boxer has a chance to beat Winky. Tito is just not good nor smart boxer, he just knows how to throw bombs. Winky is not that great he struggled with Bronko in 3 fights and Sugar Shane did alright in their 2nd fight (he was too big for him).

Any good boxer like B-Hop or Oscar can beat Winky.

cotto knows it too..look at his face in every picture hes posed with trinidad he has a look on his face like 'i dont wanna be here, and this guy is a ****in lamer' look on his face and tito has this big ******ed kid at christmas smile
