just like how some who dont know boxing (technique) think boxing is boring/dookie, is the exact same way you guys think of MMA.

I enjoy both and like boxing better. but i can appreciate a good ground game and dont think its as boring as some people think. Jiu Jitsu is a sport just like boxing and just like other martial arts.

just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it ****, or boring, etc.

I think the two can coexst. I'm a much bigger fan of boxing, but my friends enjoy mma and always order the fights or go out to the bars and hey, I enjoy chilling with the boys no matter what as long as we have some cold beer. Having wrestled a long time ago I can appreciate the ground game of mma. Having said that I think mma has maxed out. Most of my friends who were big fans two years ago don't care much about it anymore, they just like to get together and drink. Even tonight we were all saying UFC aint what it used to be. Too many ppvs, not enough good cards, and the action isn't what it used to be.

It seems that a good majority of boxing fans really hate MMA, while MMA fans dont mind boxing. But what do i know...

Thats why there is MMA ESPN Saturday Night Fights? Thats why the biggest HW fight in UFC history is on the front page of Yahoo? I just saw a mini wheats commcercial where the little wheat was a boxer with michael buffer as the voice introduction, why wasnt he in an octagon with mma gloves and bruce buffer as the voice? I walk into the GAP the other day and see shirt with jack dempsey on it, i wondered where is a Randy Couture shirt? Yesterday a commercial for a car dealer comes on and they told the public to knock out high prices showing a boxing ring with boxing gloves as their graphics, i wondered why not an octagon? Another insurance commercial came on with 2 people in boxing robes, boxing gloves sitting in the middle of a boxing ring, again why no MMA referance?

                  in america yes.

you only need to look at si.com.

espn is pretty even but si leans heavily towards mma.

                    no it doesn't.

                    ufc is actually hurting wwe.

since ufc started doing a lot of cards on ppv , wwe numbers have been continually declining.

they have similar demographics. young white boys.

                    ufc hurts wwe.

ufc and boxing don't really hurt each other , they have different demographics.

boxing is usually older white men and young and old hispanics.

plus a lot of mma fans are boxing fans and vice versa.
