Don't forget, James Toney, as great as he was, is very old to be starting an MMA career. He's starting beyond the age most people would be retiring from the sport. He's also sounding pretty punch drunk. He's slurring his words. Toney always mumbled, but he's slurring now. The guy shouldn't really be fighting anymore. He's still probably throwing heat, so he has a punchers chance, but I doubt Couture will try to get into a boxing match with him.

I'm not a hater. James Toney was amazing to watch in the boxing ring. He's 42 years old and hasn't been in good shape for a long time. His boxing skills have deteriorated. The guy can still throw some serious leather, but his timing is not what it used to be. Hands down, he'll have better hand striking skills than anyone in MMA, but he's not exactly prime anymore. Seems like MMA has inspired him to train hard again, so you never know what'll happen.

I'm with you on this one. MMA fighters haven't dealt with inside work like Toney's (most boxers haven't either).
