Who cares what you love to watch your a dip****, you dont represent the general public. HBO isnt trying to cater to your odd needs of entertainment.
People watched the heavyweight division to watch Tyson, Foreman, Lewis, Frazer, Liston types domination and knockouts. The Klitschkos are boring as **** compared to this boxers.Comment

HBO didn't 'drop' Wlad. They flat said who they'd be interested in televising him fight. Greenburg basically stated what has been in affect for most of the last couple years. The guy just made an 8 million purse bid to fight *just* Povetkin so why on earth would he give a **** about the breadcrumbs HBO pay? ****; fighters like Bradley/Alexander/JMM/Pavlik etc don't get those figures!
Add to that Wlad is his own promoter.
Add to that Europe + Russia combined has near 1 billion people
Add to that the $$$ he makes of German merchandizing
Add to that the EU TV shows, advert money etc he gets
People can hate all they like. I think Wlad is pretty static myself sometimes but the man is the best about and of that there's no doubt plus whatever he hits; he destroys.
If people think HBO matter they're ill informed and blind to the world about them. The world has 6 billion people in it and HBO are irrelevant when targeting that audience because even with a 100% US audience that'd still only be 5% worldwide populace exposure.
We can say HBO represents American exposure which is true. But equally we can say HBO exposure doesn't mean EU exposure.
People are reading far far far far too much into HBO dropping Wlad; it's irrelevant.
I've said my peace now so......peace
For a Haye or Adamek fight, all sides would care because it would make economic sense for both he and HBO to do business. The Klits can't do PPV in the States right now but they can draw ratings with the right opponents. There's only three right now. One got run by Vitali already (Arreola), another ran his mouth and is now in hibernation, and the other doesn't really mention the Klits because he's doing just fine getting gate receipts in Jersey.
It's a big world with plenty of fights to go around. Not being on HBO won't mean the Klits aren't ever on TV in the U.S. or something. Heck, HBO used to only show the best of Holmes's challenges but all of Tyson. It's a **** for the buck thing and also about giving the viewers what they want. HBO viewers for the most part haven't responded to the Klits or the (improving but still bad) division recently.
It's sort of incredible. I mean, there have been pockets where little guys (like Floyd and Manny) could generate more revenue than the Heavies but the ratio in favor of those two right now is absurd by historical standards. Holmes could do a Cooney fight and keep pace with Leonard for a night. Even Haye v. a Klit would be lucky to do half what a Manny-Floyd fight does $ wise. Just the way it is.Comment

HBO are looking for someone to beat either brothers and since they know none of the pathetic/ fat heavies stand any chance they seem to have cut their loses on the HW scene, Haye, Arreola and Adamek aren't going to do nothing so until HBO finds someone they would keeping shutting the door, the klits are doing fine without them so?Comment

I don`t think it is personal. Maybe HBO is financially losing on their fights, and merely stated future plans to protect their company. The guy just made an 8 million purse bid to fight *just* Povetkin so why on earth would he give a **** about the breadcrumbs HBO pay? ****; fighters like Bradley/Alexander/JMM/Pavlik etc don't get those figures!

I thought we didn't care about money on NSB. Yea I have to agree these reports about HBO dropping the Klitschkos are really a footnote rather than a front page story. They makes so much more money with their RTL deal than anything than anything HBO was throwing their way anyway.
Thats pretty much why their promoters have been making no effort to market them in the United states. It hasn't been as profitable as in Germany and theirs no niche to fill.
There's a reason the National Football League only has one game a year in Europe and European football clubs only play a few friendlies in the United States. Same goes for most in boxing.Comment
