Berto's side insisted on a 50-50 deal and was offered 60-40. If he had taken 60-40 it would have been basically a paycut from the Quintana fight, which HBO radically overpaid for. And now HBO is paying the price. How can you get the guy back in the ring to fight Mosley for less than he got against Quintana? Had HBO not been overpaying Berto for so long it could have gotten it done. So in the large view, HBO caused the problem and now it isn't getting the fight it wants and has nobody to blame but itself.
