Well atleast he has two fans in here, TheGreat1 and myself.

I'm actually a big JCC fan, but he did lose 9-3 to Whitaker at the least, and well we all know what happened in the Taylor fight. I had that 8-4 for Taylor but Richard Steele is a *****.

I don't think I'm wrong to say that Chavez' best work was in the late 80's.

    Lockridge
    LaPorte
    Rosario
    Limon
    Ramirez
    Mayweather
    Castillo

      Early 90's victories
      Kyung-Duk Ahn 139 29-1-0
      John Duplessis 139 36-1-0
      Lonnie Smith 140 29-2-1
      Angel Hernandez 139½ 37-0-2
      Frankie Mitchell 137½ 29-1-0
      Hector Camacho 140 41-1-0
      Marty Jakubowski 142 37-0-0
      Greg Haugen 140 32-4-0
      Terrence Alli 139 52-7-2
These were all legit contenders and dangerous opponents right before the Whitaker fight. I guess what kills it for you is that he was champ from 1984 to 1994 not really dominated either 80's or 90's
but he was champ for ten years and undeafeted for 14 regaardless of bad choices or decisions.

                Like Borikua said,

                "Roy Jones, DLH, and Trinidad."

                Without a doubt.

If Ali's 2 losses (ok, he got a gift decision in the 3rd fight) to Norton don't knock him out as fighter of the '70's, why would Holy's 2 losses to Bowe knock him out?
