margarito no but the rest yes. matter of fact magarito is notheing more than baldomire with loaded gloves. the margigarito that faced cotto , shane and clottey wouldve lost easily to chicken run.

          good ?

I think YES with the exception of MARGACHEETO. MAYWEATHER would have daced and outboxed him all night EASY! But everyone else has a chance to defeat him especially WILLIAMS, PACQUIAO. COTTO would have been a toss up. These are the type of fights that sends a fighter to the ALL-TIME great side when he retires. Beating guys the fans don't think you can beat. This is why MAYWEATHER is nothing more than a hall of famer at this point. He hasn't fought the best. When he steps up in competition, he doesn't look as GOOD in there. Old OSCAR and MOSLEY showed us that one. He misses a lot and can be outboxed at times as well. He doesn't have good legs and can't avoid body punches either. He is also succeptable to a good jab. So, you tell me how you rank this guy if he were to retire today? If he had fought any opf these fighters you named, he would have at least 2wo losses already and that's why he didn't fight them.

Williams is the only one I see... and even that isn't very certain...

My reasoning is just 7" height advantage... the unbelievable reach advantage... the southpaw stance.. the chin to take shots...

And most importantly, Paul Williams doesn't care about feints... he is just going to throw punches.. and he has the stamina to do it for all 12 rounds...

Floyd would make him miss, and he could definitely counter him.

But at the end of the day...

If Floyd throws 33 punches and lands 25 (high percentage)

And Williams throws 97 punches, and lands 25.....

The judges are going to give those rounds to Williams just based off activity..

He is obviously no where in the skill level as Floyd, but his height, reach, stance, stamaina.. coupled with his ridiculous work rate... would make it very hard to score rounds for Floyd in the judges eyes.

            Cotto - No

            Margarito - No

It's not a question of: "Can Cotto, Margarito, or Williams beat Mayweather?"

It's that when you go through a gauntlet like Cotto, and then Margarito, and then Williams...when you face top level competition every single time out it increases the chances that you will:

                A) **** up.
                B) Underestimate an opponent
                C) Get hit by a lucky punch
                D) Just have a bad day
                E) Have an inadequate training camp

The chances of the above happening, or leading to a loss, is much lower when you're facing subpar competition OR guys that simply have no chance of KO-ing you such as Marquez.

Is Floyd better than Cotto, Margarito, and Williams? Yes.

But when you have to fight one after the other after the other...it proves your greatness. That's why JCC Jr. is widely acknowledged as the best because he takes on all comers.

I think the question is how many punches would Williams land on Floyd, hell kermit the frog cintron was making williams miss a lot of punches...so did martinez and quintana, floyd is surely more elusive/defensive/moves more than those fighters and can cut down the work rate funny how williams forgot to throw his 95 punches per round against sergio martinez and carlos quintana

Do you think Mayweather would have not slipped up 1x had he gone thru all the lions of the division??? Had he gone thru Margarito, then Williams and then Cotto, can you really tell me he wouldn't had lost 2 one of them???
