Tell me how he clearly won the 2nd fight. Maybe if you need to take your own advice and watch the fight again without your blind hatred maybe you see it that fight a close fight and was one of the best fight of the year when it happened.

I watched the fight several times. Pacquiao scored the knockdown but after that it was just a completely one sided boxing lesson. Marquez outboxed, outpunched and outworked Pacquiao enough to get a unanimous decision victory. I'm not biased, I dont like either of the fighters but it was clear that Pacquiao should have lost. Any unbiased boxing fan could see that Marquez clearly won the fight.

If you don't believe me then look on youtube, There is a video of boxingscene's own Fillipino sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielz saying that he believes Marquez won the fight but the judges gave it to Pacquiao because he is more marketable.

Huh? Why is that irrelevant to the situation? If Pac tried to make weight then that means he didn't try to cheat. Wasn't Pacquiao penalized for beng overweight? He was forced to use heavier gloves to compensate for his weight advantage and he lst his title. Coming in overweight would cost him his title and at that point in his carreer that belt was very important. Even if he won against Singrurat he would stll lose his title.

at least manny tried to make weight . floyd had no intention in making weight . he saw how tought marquez was and decided to get every tacktickle advatage possibe even if it meant cheating . manny goes to church there is no way he would purpussfully cheat . and like another poster said he had to get heaveir gloves

I'm not making excuses for Pac. I simply do not believe that he purposedly came in overweight to have an advantage against Singsurat.

Of course he tried to make the weight. He wouldn't have made it to 113 if he didn't try. Remember that Pac immediately moved to 122 after this fight so cutting to 113 would have been a struggle. Is it common for a flyweght to immediately jump to super bantam weight? It's a clear indication that Pac has out grown 112.

Was it wrong for him to come in 1 pound over the limit? Yes. That's why he suffered for it by being stripped of his title and being forced to wear heavier gloves. And he had nothing to gan by coming in overweight since he would be stripped of his title even before the fight.

But did he intend to cheat and gain a weight advantage by coming overweight? No, I don't think so...
