I think Vernon would be a bigger favoruite over Floyd than he would Pac just based on styles. Mayweather would have to outbox Vernon which would be tough given Verns jab and size. Pac could do the Mayorga and just keep coming forward and throwing punches which I think would give him a slightly better chance. Vernon beats everyone else fairly easily.

Vernon is too basic to beat Floyd. He would beat Manny due to his big size advantage, and probably beat the rest of the welters. Someone mentioned a Tito Forrest fight...well Tito would probably of ripped dudes head off

I remember seeing a video interview with Al Haymon's right hand man (whos name i forget) saying his team was drawn to Mayweather because Floyd came to them and said he could retire Vernon Forrest.

          Retire, maybe not. Shutout, possibly.

He was shot multiple times. I wouldn't call that dying easily.

Against Mayweather I'm not really sure how it would end. The first four rounds would tell me how it would end, since Floyd has been back he has shown the tendency to get caught with clean shots in the opening round. He could end up like Mosley and be unable to regain momentum.

That being said he looks more solid at Welterweight, so if he can go in to the 5th round I can see him winning on points.

With regards to Pacquiao I think Vernon would stop him, you can't be that open against a big hitter who will smack you with bad intentions. No point mentioning Berto and Cotto.

Oscar was weight drained fighting Pacquiao, had this been Oscar back in the early 00s he would have ****ed Pacquiao up. Pound for pound Oscar is the better fighter but more importantly he is naturally bigger.

If the likes of Oscar, Vernon, Mosley, Trinidad were competing in the welterweight division now, Pacquiao would probably be competing at 140lbs.

mosley is compeating now and manilla ice wouldve put him on deep freeze unlike floyd the runner . and after seeing how kfc came in overweight i dont think you can ever bring up weight to discredit manny. trinidad wouldve been a ok fight but he 2 wouldve sucummed to the pressure and speed of manny

prime vernon got his ass whooped by ricardo mayorga. mayweather and pacquiao wouldn't lose a round to mayorga muchless a fight.

clottey would have given forest all kind of trouble as well. vernon nearly lost to a washed up ike quartey at 54.

vernon was good, but far from great.

Forrest was a very good fighter, but people forget that aside from Mosley, he didn't have a big win in his entire career. Well unless maybe you count the Quartey robbery.
