July 17th Timothy Bradley steps up to welterweight and his opponent is no pushover. He faces the 29-0 Luis Carlos Abregu of Argentina. I've seen Abregu fight a few times and he is capable of sending Bradley back to 140!

This is going to be a great card. Angulo-Alcine will be great, and so will Bradley-Abregu. I think Bradley will break him down and stop him in the late rounds. He keeps his hands too low and his chin is made of paper. And Angulo will reenact the Julio fight.Comment

Don't be surprised if Abregu wins. Props to Bradley for taking this matchup despite physical disadvantage.
Abregu's a tall welter 5'10", with reach like Floyd 72". Not gonna be easy. Abregu's chin isn't battle tested, but we know Bradley is a pity-pat puncher.
This should be good. Abregu can pull it off if he comes with a good jab all night.Last edited by NesNY; 07-01-2010, 04:18 AM.Comment

Bradley doesn't think Alexander exists as a fight for him at 140, despite Alexander calling him out, but this barely known Argentinian at welterweight is his best option. He's ducking a double champion from his own division. Good job, Tim.Comment
