He left Kronk and that was his biggest mistake

If he never left Kronk that whole thing wouldn't have happened

Gerald had a sickeningly solid chin, and so he had no right to withstand so many of Benn's shots that each of which would usually see guys crumbling in front of Benn left, right and centre.

I have no clue what type of condition Gerald was in coming into the fight but I have heard that he was physically never the same after his first fight with Julian Jackson(headaches, blurred vision etc)...**** no one takes Jackson bombs and Gerald did but maybe in the long run he really didnt...

Not to argue or not that we know (you may) but Julian was in my mind the harder puncher, I have never seen one punch ko power quite like the hawk.

You cant walk thru guys like Jackson and Benn and come out ok...

He lived with Steward. He beat Roy Jones at the 1988 Golden Gloves and was rated the #2 lb4lb fighter in the world at the time of the Benn fight, the only man rated ahead of him was Roy Jones and they were set to clash in the summer of 1995 (a fight that most believe Gerald would of won).

If the G MAN stayed in Kronk he would've beat Roy Jones Jr.

Thanks for the information on that one. Jones vs Mcellan would have been another great fight, you think Gerald would have caught Jones though.. in 1995 Jones was on top of his game for sure.

From what I hear, Steward said if Gerald stayed at Kronk, he would've easily beaten Roid Jones Jr. (joking bout the roid jones)

I can't see Gerald not beating Roy, I try to visualise Roy Jones winning the fight but I just cannot do it! I'm genuinely 90-99% sure that Gerald would of won.

Top fight. Watched it live on tv and have got it on DVD. In the first I thought Benn was ****ed four ways from Friday but the thing is with that guy he hit him and it just pissed him off so he'd hit you back twice as hard! Absolute ****ing animal. Not necessarily one for the purists but in getting the old adrenaline and animal instincts firing it takes some beating.

                    Lol

Benn and Eubank. Oh the glory days of British Boxing. Its a shame most Americans dont have a clue about these two giants of 90s boxing.

Get the fights on DVD, video or download em. Eubank and Benn fights still rock!
