    Cunningham working with Elio Rojas.

    By G. Leon

WBC featherweight champion Elio Rojas has retained the services of world class trainer Kevin Cunningham, who manages the undefeated WBC/IBF junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander "The Great". Rojas is expected to face Yuriokis Gamboa on HBO in his next fight.

    Yes!!!!!

The only real flaw I see in Elio is his stamina and it's only because he throws so many punches and exerts too much energy during fights.

He won't become a different fighter overnight, but he doesn't need to, he just needs to have more stamina to maintain his style for 12.

I thought you were talking about Rojas .

Cunningham is a former policeman... of course he's an *******.

That said, he's developed Cory Spinks and Devon Alexander. If you can help Spinks develop the type of defense he has and guide him to titles in 2 weight classes, almost 3 when he has no punching power, you have my respect as a trainer. That and he's done great with Alexander.

Rojas is a beast. Hopefully Cunnignham can fine tune his game. Get him some more road work.

Hopefully this can work out. As QUELOQUE said, Rojas is too active, and that style requires a lot of stamina. I don't think he's gonna throw that many punches against Gamboa, so his stamina would do him good.
