No, him immediately retiring after the fight when it was clear a rematch was necessary clearly shows that he tucked tail and ran. It wasn't because he was past his prime or any other BS reasons. He retired because he didn't want to give the guy, who was beating his ass before a cut happened, a rematch when the guy clearly deserved it. Bottom line, Lennox bitched out.
how would even a prime holyfeild do against the klitschkos

Tough Match Up. I like both the Klitschko Brothers and I like Holyfield as well. I guess it would come down to how the Brothers can adapt to Holyfields style. Cuz I don't care how "Tall" they fight, Holyfield would still get on the inside and turn it into a fight. If They Got the endurance to last a full 12 rounds at Holyfield's pace where they're actually receiving hits, If they could take em dont get me wrong they both have a shot to win cuz they obviously got the size on Holyfield. 15 years ago tho Holyfield was one of the baddest men alive. I'd favor the real deal but wouldnt be shocked in an upset

Lennox caused the cut with his fists and Vitali had 4 rounds to do something about it. Vitali failed to put away a past prime Lennox, and did not deserve a rematch.
What would a rematch prove exactly? That Vitali can beat up an old man? I could probably kick Muhammad Ali's elderly ass right now..does that make me an atg as well? When it mattered, Vitali failed. End of story.

And? I'm not debating what caused the cut. My point was that if it weren't for the cut Lennox would have most likely lost that fight. And given by the way he was losing the fight, my assumption was probably not too far off. Vitali is not exactly a one punch knockout artist, he stops people with accumulating punishment. He may not have stopped Lennox, but from the looks of it he didn't need a whole lot more to get the job done (as in there was a good chance he would have probably stopped Lennox in the next 2-3).Lennox caused the cut with his fists and Vitali had 4 rounds to do something about it. So you're saying that fight didn't deserve a rematch? A freak cut that stopped the fight before a real winner can be determined doesn't deserve a rematch... gotcha. And since when did Lennox become an old man? I didn't hear that excuse before the fight started, but now in hindsight because he fought someone that could actually give him a run for his money he suddenly becomes an old man. I don't care how old he was at fight night, no one was saying he was an old man 1 year earlier when he demolished Tyson. Great analogy with the Ali thing, you've made it sound like Lennox was 50 to further prove such a hollow argument.
When it mattered, Vitali didn't fail he was unlucky. Vitali was winning that fight, he wasn't losing it. I'm willing to bet that if they had fought again, lightning would not have struck twice (freak cut) and big K would have ended up beating Lennox.Comment

Holyfield's ******nite is a technical boxer. With K2's size and technical ability, I doubt Evander could do too much.Comment

Because if you think a Prime Holyfield beats a Klitschko you are suddenly black and a racist ?, you're ****ing pathetic, take Vitali's **** out your mouth.
And by the way you have already proven that you have 0 knowledge of the HWs in the 90s, you have no say in this thread.Comment
