The fight is alright I guess. Not PPV material, but it is a great card. Seeing Ortiz, Mosley and Alvarez fight on one card isn't something you see that often.

If my mind serves me correctly VS hasn't done a boxing event in awhile and if Jones-Hopkins II was able to get 100,000+ PPV buys, then I expect people to buy this card for 1) Mora's hispanic, 2) Mosley is known well in SoCal, 3) Canelo!!! and 4) possibly also ortiz.Comment

sergio mora is a crap crap fighter. shane will look bad in victory or defeat because of mora's style.
mosley would have been better off fighting andre berto.Comment

¿Why is Shaefer making it sound like Mosley hasn't fought in the Staple Center in 10 years? When not even a year ago AT THAT SAME SPOT(AT THE STAPLE CENTER) Mosley beat the **** out of Margarito!!!! & to make the card way more interesting they should match up Ortiz against "ALL HYPE"Canelo Alvarez(AT 147lbs)...Instead of Ortiz vs "SHOT FIGHTER" Vivian Harris & "ALL HYPE" Alvarez against some Tomato Can or blown up lightweight to TRY to make him look better than what he actually is!Comment

They're trying to rebuild Victor Ortiz, and they're also trying to build up Canelo. Putting them against eachother wouldn't be the best idea. Harris is a decent veteran. He could at least test Ortiz. And Matthew Hatton is also a good test for Canelo to see where he is. If he struggles with Hatton, then he's clearly a hype job. If he KOs him, then he's definitely a good boxer. If he decisions him easily, then he's got potential.Comment

It would have happened if Berto didn't ask for that 50/50 split he clearly didn't deserve. I don't even consider Berto elite. He's borderline right now until he beats somebody who isn't a gatekeeper/former world champion (with Mosley as an exception of course, since he's still capable of beating a lot of guys).
But I don't see how this will be boring. Mora's last fight was a WAR for the first few rounds. And Mosley is lightyears better than Calvin Green.Comment

....I'm a die hard Shane dude so I can't feel yall pain nor do I attend to attempt to......feel me?!? .....WAR SHANE!!!....knock this clown the **** out and set up a "ride into the sunset" scrap with the bull Cotto....Shane and Miguel's styles mix well together and will ALWAYS produce a dam good fight IMO......but first things first, Mora has to go to sleep
