I like how you put in the "prime" next to their names just so it's clear LOL.

My vote is Chambers because his defense was top notch and Wlad managed to Ko him in a fashion he usually doesn't ko his other inferior opponents. Usually those guys get broken down and TKO'd. Chambers flat out got KO'd.

All of the people Lennox Lewis stopped had been stopped before.

Wlad has stopped something like 12 opponents who had never been stopped before.

By the same token, Vitali who turns 39 this month is still better than any of Haye's opponents.

Mercer at age 40 was better than the inactive old Ruiz, better then the ponderous Valuev, better than the delicate-chinned Maccarinelli, and better than the current shot version of Monte Barrett.

Mercer continued to fight until 2009, seven more years.
You and your argument lose credibility with this.

Wlad has a decent list of contenders beaten, but it's not the list of opponents he's beaten that is great, it's the way he's beaten them. No need to over blow his resume because it's deep in fighters who won't be going to the HOF.

Byrd, Chagaev, Peter, and Chambers are his best wins.

You feel he should have gone the distance instead of knocking them out?

One of my favorites here at 9:12, great left hook:

Ruslan Chagaev was the best Heaveyweight besides the Klitschko's and Wlad dominated him from start to finish. That's Wlad's best win IMO.

Busting up the yank hypejob Calvin Brock in New York is up there too.

                id say brock and chambers

peter at that time would have been it, but as we got to see more of Peter post Wlad fight, it takes a little of the sizzle away.

Mercer was knocked down by Holyfield before, pretty hard too.

No... I mean that it's not the quality of his opposition that makes him who he is, it's how he dominates them from start to finish.

Chagaev, Byrd, Chambers, Ibragimov and Peter were very good wins.
