Retire for his health and safety? Less then two years ago, he fought Valuev for a heavyweight title. Not only was he in good fighting shape, but everyone knows he was robbed and should have won the title.

Valuev is just a huge protected cab driver who probably should have never really even held a world title.

Seriously, this would be the beginning of Rocky 4. I say do it. It makes for good tv, Holyfield dying in the ring at the hands of big Vitali. Vitali going to reporters and saying ,"If he dies, he dies." But seriously what the hell is Holyfield thinking. Anyone in the past would be better for him to fight then a Klitschko. I mean because they dont go for the knockout, they punch you n the face over and over until youre ******ed. Wlad at least might be merciful and KO Holyfield in 2, but Vitali? Just watch what Vitali does to sanders. Vitali would have murdered him in the 8th round. Granted Sanders is the man for staying on his feet, but he was unconcious and Vitali was just toying with him. He could have unleashed a flurry and the ref would have stopped it, instead it was calculated blow after calculated blow right down the middle. Look at Sanders' career after the Vitali fight, he fought 2 rounds in the next 2.5 years and from being an elite HW to fighting bums. The reason why I think both Klitschko's are the best is that almost no one wants a rematch. Who wants to fight these guys again. Especially Vitali. Talk all the trash and nonsense you want, but after Vitali fights his opponents do not want a rematch.

That fool is senile and punch-drunk if he really believes and is not just trying to get his last payday that can stop the IRS from foreclsing on that mansion (seel that b*tch, you can't live like you did when you were earning $10-$20 mil per fight).

But I kind of agree with some posters here in terms of his fighting ability; he can still compete at a top level (think Valuev and Sultan fights), so if he wants to keep fighting, let him. Both Klitschkos put him into retirement though.

No, I didn't. I just implied that Holyfield is able to fight on a top level and if he arguably beat the same man David Haye beat for the title (you know, the same Haye that the whole boxing world wants the Klitschko's to fight), then why can't Holyfield fight them?
