Heavyweight veteran Andrew Golota made a bold prediction on a potential fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. The 1988 Olympic bronze medal winner thinks Pacquiao is too fast for Mayweather, who Golota believes Pacquiao's speed, activity level and power will be too much for Mayweather at welterweight.

Golota thinks Pacquiao has carried the weight better than Mayweather since moving up through the divisions and because of that he sees Mayweather being overwhelmed in the same way as Miguel Cotto and others.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is being currently being negoiated for the month of November with Las Vegas and Texas as the two possible locations to host the fight.

“Pacquiao is too much for him. Too much. He beats him easy. Easy. Easy. Mayweather was a great fighter when he was a super featherweight but he’s too small now. Pacquiao is so fast. He throws so many punches. Cotto is fast but Pacquiao made him look slow. Pacquiao is something else,”

Cam someone explain what the hell he's on about???

Pacquiao is not a very fast starter himself and 4 rounds is too much to give.I know he dropped Marquez and Hatton early but he couldnt damage Cotto and Clottey early. This is because many people have worked his style and they avoid giving him anything early.I think this will be a total shutout with Mayweather trying to prove a point.

Since when did the opinions of old irrelevant fighters regarding who would win in current match ups need to be made into an article and presented as news?

total shutout? hmmm after re-watching mosley-mayweather just a while ago, i could bet my entire points to prove you're wrong, lol!!

let's be realistic, pacquiao would give mayweather what he didn't experience w/ his last 40 wins. he's just as fast and w/ a lot of activity (not like mosley who after hurting pbf in the 2nd round, stop punching and became tentative and let pbf dictated the fight).

pacquiao makes mistakes but who says pbf doesn't. the more pbf thinks the more he gets into trouble w/ pacquiao.

If/when Floyd beat, it would be great to see him looking over the crowd just like Hopkins did when he defeated Pavlik, that would be the best "I told you so" statement ever.

Shane could have beat PBF if he had slowed down a bit and quit going for the KO . mANNY WON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE ,Floyd will have to FIGHT for 12 rounds .PBF knows he has never had to do that except with Oscar and he was hardly in his prime . He ran from Oscar and I figure he will do the same with Manny if he ever signs that is ?????
I really thought the fight with OSCAR was a draw with ODH BEING THE MORE EFFECTIVE AGGRESSOR.

Golota is right. Pacquiao would handle Mayweather, possibly run him out of the ring. Easy to see that playing out. Pac to strong, hits too hard and is too busy. Mayweather would be covering like Clottey and would be reticent to engage. i have no doubts about this.

                    I don't think it'll be a total shut-out.

But I think that Manny's punch output will drop markedly when he starts getting countered, and he could go into a shell if he can't get to Floyd..... just like Mosley/Marquez/Hoya.

If Manny can't get to Mayweather, and Floyd starts landing those sharp crisp counters..... Manny could get frustrated.

I'm sure Freddie is aware of that, he needs to get Manny up for this one.

What else is new? *****s actually agree with Golota by the way they have been advocating Count Dracula's help up to the day of the fight. They're banking on this silly notion that it would weaken Pacquiao and thus level the playing field. LOL. I hope Manny would agree, because I guarantee that it would backfire and it would affect Mayweather even more. Thing is when Manny is retired, Floyd would be forced to comply with this OST thing even if he faces the likes of Hatton and Malignaggi just for show. Haha... Who would be interested in seeing Malignaggi take OST against Floyd? Silly *****s, in their hatred for Pac thinking long term is thrown out of the window.
