Bradley: "I fought Abregu because there was no one else to fight"

BT: Tim why the move to 47, I think they are trying to make you viable for Floyd or Manny if they can't get together. I think you are the most deserving fighter to fill that void if they can't come to terms.

TB: Thanks I appreciate that, if they can't get it together I would be happy to step up. I'm taking this fight at 47 though because there was nobody else to fight. The fight with Maidana fell through and nobody was available, so I want to see how I feel. If I feel good, I will go back n forth.

BT: Many people thought you didn't want to fight Alexander , but I understand that boxing is also a business and everything is not as easy as it seems.

TB: Your absolutely right. I have no problem fighting anybody if the money is right.

So wait he says he's fighting for money then fights Abregu???

    I'm lost.

For real **** Tim Bradley!!! if these kinda fighters are "the future of boxing" i pray for boxings future!!!
i dont know if hes watching too much 24/7 and adopting the mayweather attitude, but mayweather has been a pro a LONG time and coming up the ranks proved himself. same with Pac, Cotto! Tim Bradley has done nothing of note and doesnt seem to keen to handle the questions being asked of him in his own division.

Bradley had a lot of respect from me, I'm a fan but **** the no one else to fight.

Alexander has basically acted like a 13 year old girl dreaming over an 18 year old guy who has a car.

Is this now the cool thing to say for fighters at 140? They all seem to be using this line.

The way I see it Bradley and Khan want to cash in and Alexander just wants to fight. If Alexander stays unbeaten and keeps his attitude he would become my fav fighter but we all know the money changes people.

                It makes perfect sense..

Alexander was available..for **** Money and the boy is scared to leave St. Louis..

Alexander-Bradley is the biggest fight that could be made at '40 and it will probably remain that way for the next couple years..khan only fights twice a year and wants washed up fighters..

The build up for Bradley-Alexander could be huge in due time..it's basically an investment..it's risky cuz u gotta stay undefeated to cash in, in the end..but wtb no risk there is no reward..

Now fighting Abregu isn't the best idea..in most of our eyes..but Hardcore fans like us KNOW the 140 division is GREAT but 147 is where the money is..so to get your feet wet against an undefeated power hitter in Abregu is what it takes to get a glimpse of 147..so be it..remember tho..after Abregu he's also said he wants Cotto at '54 Paul Williams and Berto at '47...etc..so he wants the names that are established..if he can't get those he'll go back to Maidana, Ortiz, etc and waits for the Alexander bout to catch more buzz...

Timothy Bradley is amongst my favorite..(actually 2nd to Cotto) so I could be somewhat biased...but it makes perfect sense to me..

stuff like that pisses me off!! why can't the best fight the best?! if bradley beat alexander he would get much bigger fights. but i don't think he will beat alexander.
bradley is in no position to demand huge money fights until he beats the best at 140.

The 140 division pisses me off, so many great fights that could be made and nothing's happening...Bradley (who I believe is currently the best there) is using money excuses now and checking peoples drawing power, when he himself isn't even a draw...Khan is heading in the right direction after his fight against Paulie, but he needs to step up and fight Maidana....Marcos Maidana I believe turned down a rematch with Ortiz and dropped out of the Bradley fight, WTF?....Victor Ortiz could have the biggest fan base out of them all but does not have the heart or dedication to go far in boxing, after the Maidana fight GBP has been babying him....and Alexander, well I can't say nothing bad about this guy he's a young lion waiting for anybody to step up
