dude was eating steaks the night before the douglas fight
I was going to say, Douglas even said he won that fight for his father. Tyson was a mess at that point, well before that point even. Without Cus, Tyson was lost at sea and that is really when his career started going south. He never even knew his dad and Cus was his surrogate father without him he was a tornado of trouble.

If there's anything Tyson was good at it was his mastery of closing the distance between fighters who had height/reach and overall size disparity over him.

Not only would Tyson close that gap between him and Wlad but his head movement, superior hand speed, and body work would systematically break Wlad down.

Tyson wins this via obvious KO.

People should keep in mind that even before going off the deep end Tyson was unable to finish off average fighters like Mitch Green and James Tillis. He also couldn't knock out Bonecrusher Smith or Tony Tucker.

The main reason I think Wlad would beat Tyson is because Tyson did not like fighting on the inside and throughout his career he was content to let his opponents tie him up in clinches.

Wlad would be happy to take advantage of this flaw in Tyson's style and his physical size would wear Tyson down in the clinches.

Seriously, if James Tillis won 4 out of 10 rounds against Tyson on 2 different cards I dont think it's crazy to think Wlad Klitschko could win 6 out of 10 on 2 cards.

In your opinion yes but its just an opinion. Wlad having a suspect chin is the only thing that puts doubt in my mind as to whether or not he would beat Tyson. It always amazes me how ''prime Tyson'' was considered some kind of unstoppable beast but in reality prime Tyson didn’t beat anyone other than an old Larry Holmes

Wlad doesn't have the chin those guys had. Wlad has a good stiff jab that keeps most at bay. But Tyson would have gotten inside and landed. Now if Wlad actually had the chin of bonecrusher, then he may stand a chance. Take nothing away from Wlad, he has perfected his style, and skill. But IMO he still loses to a prime Tyson by KO.

No offense man but who exactly did Wlad beat that would be a considered a notch above average?

                    Tyson really didn't beat anyone.

Wlad would have had no trouble unifying belts against Berbick, Tucker and Smith. Nor would he have had any trouble with Michael Spinks.

I think if Tyson and Klitschko fought 10 times it would end up 6-4 or 5-5. It's not a matchup where either guy would have gotten the better of the other one everytime.
