does amir khan need to be in a war to be respected

does amir khan need to be in a war to be respected i mean a guy who will come and fight brawl.im asking this because after julio cesar jr went to war against a very game fighter he seem to gain respect from alot of people on here.maybe thats what AMIR needs instead of fighting this malinaggi.and possibley casamayor or marquez those guys have little to nothing left in the tank he will get no respect by fighting those guys.maybe a maidana fight will be good.but that doesnt seem the case they have their eyes on casamayor and marquez

            ^^^^^^ This.

He just needs to fight real competition. Paulie is decent enough but no names and old shot people with names, is a no-no.

yeah thats what im thinking....fight Maidana then either bradley or alexander and if he wins them fights then rematch prescott for the ultimate redemption...unless then if he dosnt do any of that then not many people are going to respect him...but to comeback after being knocked out in the first round and then 4 fights later becoming the WBA Light Welterweight champion of the world is something alright..

Respect is EARNED just as contempt is. If Khan wants respect he has to EARN it just like everyone else does. That means taking on the fights where he gets respect.Cherry picking little past if blown up fly and light weights and light hitters is not going to get him respect. Taking on the likes of Maidana ,Alexander and Bradley will.
