I've said it before, he's surgical with his left. He has one of the most educated left hand in boxing and certainly one of the best for an orthodox stance fighter.

Montiel has been underrated for a long time now, his accuracy and body punches are unbelievable. The big problem with him is he has lapses where he goofs off with his hands down and get caught, that Melendez fight is one of my favorites all time I've had the pleasure to see live.

That Melendez fight was entertaining as he.
He makes it a concerted effort to attack the body consistently just to wear you down but he can also hit to hurt/stop as well. Some of those shots to the body looked like they were landed to cut people in half!

montiel is king!!!! he fast and powerfull with good head movments and counter punching skills also good when on putting combo either on the defensive or offense he's one complete package.
