They both need each other. Neither one of their legacies are set. The best fighter of their career still hasnt been fought yet.

I think if Manny doesn't agree to the random drug-testing, it casts a shadow over his whole career. If even *Mosley*, and admitted steroid user who had previously been caught using EPO could man up, and take the tests, why not Manny? Manny needs to take the tests. Floyd obviously has nothing to hide. (As was evidenced when him and Shane took random blood tests before their fight.)

Both get deprived of a big scalp on their wall that would elevate them a little higher. But honestly, Floyd's garnered a bad rep while he's been in the spotlight the last few years. Pac's increased his.
let us put it this way:

among boxing fans, there would have a equal belief who has a tainted legacy. however among casual fans, who i think have the majority in numbers, will believe that floyd has the tainted legacy.

            why?

casual fans dont really question people like merchant, rafael, holyfield, roy jones. and many more who talk more in favor of pac.
in Asia and Philippines maybe, but everyone underestimates Floyd's "TRUE" popularity in the USA. The PPV numbers tell us he is more popular than PAC....he has more fans.......i don't believe nonsense like half buy to see him lose..........why do they keep buying, in their mind Floyd's opponents are cherry picked, yet he is averaging a million in his last 5 or so PPV's.

Floyd's dominance has been challenged only once and he gave an immediete rematch. Pac still has unfinished business with JMM.

why is there no "it hurts both" option?

their will be a cloud looming over both of their careers in the boxing history books if this fight does not go down.

if this fight doesn't happen - its completely terrible for the sport. both of them are complete idiots if they let something ****** like a drug testing cut off date prevent the biggest fight of all time from happening. one of them needs to budge on what ever it is holding things up. i don't care who, but one of them needs to, not only for the sport, but so there can be room on NSB for OTHER boxing talk.

The "idiot *******s" who actually get paid to write about boxing and have expertise and experience far beyond any NSB poster's, otherwise known as the BWAA, have already placed Manny alongside ATGs like Louis, SRR, Ali, Duran, and SRL (Bwaa FoTD, if you're still lost.).

And it wasn't even close. Other idiots like Larry Merchant and Bert Sugar, and bloggers/journalists like RingTV's Doug Fisher or ESPN's Dan Rafael (two other suckers who get paid handsomely for their respected boxing opinions) have Manny as an ATG hall of famer and Floyd as a ducker.

Gee. I wonder who's legacy is yet to be determined.

Both right now are considered atg's even thought Pac's been ko'd twice, outboxed and drew with twice-kidding. Pac can become a legend if he beats Floyd. Floyd's resume just gets better. It won't be an upset if Floyd beats PAc. It will be an upset if PAc beats Floyd.

well, i never questioned the power of floyd to attract people. do they really watch him basing on his pure skills? floyds personal attack to his opponent gives much hype and attraction for people to witness a total war come fight night.

now, regardless of merchant being biased, his latest comment on floyd were almost an attack against him. so those casual fans, do u think wouldnt believe him? the thread's title is if the fight doent happen. who u think is merchant and rafael blaming why its not happening?

I don't see how a fight and a loss or win not occurring necessarily hurts either fighter.

I mean it certainly is a win for either fighter that would greatly increase his profile whoever won, but hurt said profile.....nah.
