Comments Thread For: Ricky Burns Confident of Putting Roman Martinez Away

Ricky Burns (28-2, 7KOs) is ready for the fight of his life. He is confident of handing super featherweight Roman Martinez (24-0, 15KOs) his first loss on September 4. Martinez has been battering the competition. Burns thinks the styles will match up in his favor to create a very exciting fight. The fight has been postponed several times and everything seems to be in place for the fight to come off. There is still some talk about the actual location of the event, but that doesn't seem to be a dealbreaker in this case. [Click Here To Read More]

Rocky Martinez will have to look for the body punches against this tall guy, and make Burns lower his head for his signature uppercuts.

From what I have heard Rocky has not agreed on the terms of the contract for this fight, so... Anyway if it does happen Rocky will win by brutal KO; worst than the way he ko'ed Cook.

Burns is a pretty courageous fighter and has never been stopped so if he wants to trade, Rocky will oblige him and end it late.

Martinez is Puerto Rico's most exciting fighter.

His only issue is sometimes he'll fight down to the level of his opponents.

A big step up for Burns but I hope he's fired up for the fight of his life .Hopefully he digs deep and doesn't stand and trade with Martinez like Cook .Seen what happened to Bernard Dunne as well when he tried to trade with Poonsawaat .Martinez is ranked best in the division probably so he's got to be respected .War Burns

Yes I have, this is why I would make a statement like that. From what I've heard Burns has never been stopped but their is always a first time.
