Middleweight Ian "The Cobra" Gardner (19-2, 7 KOs) outboxed Mohamad Said (16-4, 10 KOs) over ten rounds to register a lopsided ten round decision on Tuesday night at the Roxy in Boston, Massachussetts. Gardner's awkward southpaw style totally frustrated the aggresive Said, who landed in single digits in most rounds. Said was deducted a point for a blow behind the head in round seven. Scores were a near shutout 100-89, 100-89, 99-90.
Middleweight Rasheem 'The Untouchable One" Brown (16-2, 14 KOs) blew away Chris Troupe (9-5, 5 KOs). Brown dropped Troupe twice in round one, and continued the barrage in round two until the bout was stopped at 2:07.
In a great cruiserweight fight, unbeaten Chris McInerney (3-0-1, 3 KOs) fought to a wild four-round draw against Anterio Vines (4-5-2, 1 KO). McInerney floored Vines in rounds one and two, but Vines came back to flatten McInerney in round three. Scores were 37-36 McInerney, 38-37 Vines, 37-37. Also, in another cruiserweight bout, Harvey Jolly (2-0, 1 KO) dropped Boston policeman Tyrone Smith (4-0-1) in rounds three and four to ice a 39-34, 39-34, 40-35 win. The card was promoted by Cappiello Boxing.
