  • You guys are in for the biggest letdown of your life. The fight will happen, but Mayweather will dominate Manny like he does everybody. He will make Manny look less than himself in the ring, then the Manny fans will complain he didn't look right for one reason or another. I'm bookmarking this to throw it back in your faces later. lol

It gets me how some people avoid that fact. Floyd has had a history of not wanting to fight particular opponents. This is a true statement. Floyd is his own boss and can pick and choose who he wants to fight..

The problem now is Pac is Floyds only legitimate option left and if he does not fight him then your above statement will be now be a fact.

Actually the master of avoidance is the one talking through the media like he stated back in May he wasn't going to do. How anybody can say mayweather is ducking manny is beyond me, actually Team Mayweather has been more professional about the negotation process than team Pacquaio has. Its almost like they want the reason to go ahead and fight Margarito and not receive the same backlash they did when they chose to fight Clottey.

What bothers me and anybody else in the US with a brain is that it's hard to take manny at face value because he talks about every other topic that's brought up to him except steroids. Manny can tell you "himself" who he wants to fight next, he can tell you himself how him winning the election is beneficial to his countrymen, **** he'll even sing for you if you ask him. But the minute a reporter ask's him about steroids or why he won't agree to testing up until fight night, all of a sudden, me-no-speaka-de-ingles, and here comes Bob Arum or Freddie Roach to his rescue. His conditioning coach is on record saying that he doesnt want the usada involved and in this day and era who can trust anybody against better testing.

People need to understand that back in January when they tried to make a deal the 1st time, Manny had all the leverage in the world to either make the fight, or walk away. Why do you think a man as egotistical as Mayweather agreed to all the stipulations he agreed to before even knowing if Manny would agree to his only demand. Mayweather knew he was not in position to play hard ball and he didn't. He agreed to pay a crazy 10mil per pd he was overweight, he agreed to work around Manny's political schedule, he agreed to 8oz gloves when mandatory above jr welterweight is 10oz, just like he agreed to a 50-50 purse split. TO ME, this sounds like somebody trying desperately to make a fight happen.

The problem i have with Pacquiao's position is that from the minute Mayweather announced he wanted random drug testing his position changed so much that its hard for a logical unbias fan to give him the benefit of the doubt. At 1st they were against random testing outside of what the NSAC assigned altogether. Then they would only agree to 3 random blood tests. 1 the day the fight was announced, the 2nd 30days before and the last right after fight night. Then they said they would take random blood testing up until 30days before the fight, when it was asked what's the difference if your a clean fighter was does 'random' need to be an issue you wanna work around, only then, did i hear that Manny gets weak from drawing blood to close to fight night. After that they went from 30days to 24days and the last day of negotiations all of a sudden 14days is not fair fight over.

The problem Pacquaio had and why i feel negotiations backfired is because they never in a million years expected Mayweather to fight Mosley. (especially after Roach turned down Mosley twice for Pacquiao) It's like they were waiting for Mayweather after the failed Pacquaio negotiations to announce he was fighting Matthew Hatton or Paulie Malignaggi and flip that around and say "you see mayweather wanted an easy fight, that's why we're fighting Clottey a true ww, and mayweather is fighting fill in the blank. However, Mayweather for once actually fought a guy that people thought had a legitimate shot of beating him, "which in the eyes of public opinion raised his legitmacy."

Numbers don't lie and people do, i think that when Roach and Arum saw that Mayweather made close to 40mil for fighting Mosley and Pacquaio made a measly 6to10mil, after he left in access to 25extra mil on the table the 1st time. It's hard to get casual fans to agree with your assessment that the other fighter is running scared, when 6 months later you agree to something that was more than a fair deal to you. My question for anybody that supports Manny's position is simple, if you feel mayweather is ducking now because he's not saying whether or not the 14day offer is still on the table, were you saying the same thing about Pacquiao back in January when he rejected it.

Exactly the response of a close minded individual who doesnt see whats going on.. Pointless to try to show the facts when the person is BLIND.

Well it's a big shame but it's no means an end to the sport. They ain't everything.

It's a shame that most boxing fans talk about the politics behind the sport rather than the actual fights. I'm guilty of it. I'm gonna stop making comments in any May/Pac threads until or if the fight gets made, Officially.

ok hahahah, it's a promise, enough is enough.

Most sports fans do that. You talk about contracts, trades, free agency, etc. It's why they have "Franchise" mode in most games. Doesn't mean you're any less of a fan.

Uh wake up, Floyd came in over the contracted catch weight limit against little light weight Marquez so you mean to say Pac has not right to enforce a penalty for coming in heavier.. Come on dude, get your facts together..

Level of playing field huh, SMH..

Cause the truth goes on one ear and out the other.. Just tell Floyd to man up already cause his accusations and demands are cementing the fact that he JUST DOESNT WANT THE FIGHT..
